Essentially, to use the meditations successfully, it is important that you have the understanding that all is energy; our thoughts and feelings create our reality; when we change our thoughts and feelings, we change our aura, and we change our reality; healing is changing our consciousness; changing our consciousness is evolving; evolving is becoming more of our divine selves; time and space are one; when you change things in the present, you change things across all time.
Also, it is important to know that, with many guided meditations, listening often brings about more and more insight, understanding, illumination, and healing.
Some guided meditations are recommended only for people who have experience with self-healing.
With these deeply healing meditations, the ones that guide you into the past and potentially traumatic experiences, it is important to stay completely present to the process; not pretend as a way to make it to the end.
If it becomes too difficult to listen, stop. Integrate for a day or two, then listen, again -- from the beginning.
