ooh, i must just say it. it's been another one of the most favourite books of mine (the first one was the third book of the series). though i was not that much satisfied watching the film adaption, i can’t say the same stuff about reading it. it’s really been an incredible experience.

there’s been plenty of reviews saying that the book was too long and some scenes definitely should have been cut out. so, i was pretty much prejudiced before i started it. ok, not only because of reviews but of its weight. once i took the book from the shelf, i expected to read it for years.

however, it’s been less than a week before i finished it. i barely could do anything else except reading a book and exploring it chapter by chapter. and if only it could be even longer, i really wouldn’t mind at all. so far, as i know what lies ahead - i consider the fifth book as the most intensive, reverting, and humorous novel of the whole series.

there’s been a lot of drama - constant restless harry’s state of mind, assault on weasley and other members of the order, as well as the death of the most underrated character (i’m really really upset about that and already miss sirius). i still think his character needed more time and space in the plot and his absence is absolutely undeserved. still, there’s been also a lot of humour and comical scenes which made me reread some lines with tears of joy. hail to twins!

even though i understand that it’s quite impossible to cover such an enormous story in a two-hour film, i was really shocked by how many new, tiny, yet meaningful details i caught from the book which obviously weren’t in the film. i also truly liked how rowling was giving riddles in one chapter, and the answers to them only a couple of chapters later. this ignorance only fueled my interest and made me read it even faster.

eventually, i can't help mentioning the final conversation dumbledore had with harry. i have finally got mostly all the burning questions answered and the story began to be more clear and holistic. i truly waited to read the context of prophecy and put all the puzzles together.
