The End of Me

When we fail, when we’re too weak, when we’re at the end of ourselves, it’s then that we have nowhere to go but to him.

The life you have is not the life you must accept. You need only to ask for help. The more helpless you are, the better—the more open you will be to the help that only he can offer. He meets you right there at the end of yourself.

e can make choices to align ourselves with that opportunity, but there are also realities that force us to say, “I’m at the end of my abilities. I’ve done what I can, but I can’t live this life without Christ. I can’t handle the problem of my own sin, and I can’t rise and walk on my own.

Jesus gets right to the issue: You’ve been stuck in neutral for a while. Do you really want something better? Or have you laid down roots in a place of quiet desperation and low expectations?
