Palace Economy

What is Palace Economy

A palace economy, also known as a redistribution economy, is a type of economic organization in which a significant portion of the wealth is transferred into the power of a centralized administration, the palace, and then out of the palace to the general populace. The people, on the other hand, may be permitted to have its own sources of revenue, but it is almost entirely dependent on the wealth that is dispersed by the palace. It was originally justified on the basis of the premise that the palace was the most competent of efficiently distributing money for the benefit of society. Another concept that is comparable is the temple economy.
