You’ve just entered into one of the greatest relationships there is: human and dog.

Sleeping in a crate in your room will accustom him to your scent and make him feel more at home.

You don’t need to take an adult dog out to potty as frequently as you do a puppy, but it’s still a good idea to get him used to your schedule so he knows when he’ll be able to go out.

Let them explore the house, play with them if they want to, but mostly just let them get to know you.

Most of this advice applies to older dogs as well.

New adult dogs need a little extra TLC in new homes just as much as puppies do.
